We have 6,000 to 60,000 thoughts every day. Most of them negative (greater than 75% usually), and most of them repetitive (85% or so).

 

This is negativity bias — thousands of negative thoughts every day, many of them false and useless, most of them more or less the same as yesterday, last week, last month, etc.

We all want freedom from negativity bias, but some of us are more comfortable staying with suffering that is familiar rather than pursuing freedom from suffering that is unfamiliar.

About your instructor

Coach Oscar Gimenez has worked with many people who have suffered from Covid directly and indirectly. He has worked with numerous post-Covid patients, helping them develop mindfulness skills for relief and freedom from Covid-related symptoms and suffering. 

What does it look like in practice

 

The program is delivered in a small-group setting, based on peer support and learning.

We focus on mindfulness for four spheres of awareness:

body (where sensations live),

spirit (where emotions live),

mind (where thoughts live), and

awareness / existence (where we all live).

We offer specific exercises for each of the four spheres of awareness.

Your instructor is a native Spanish-speaker with multiple certifications in teaching mindfulness.

Our 6-week course helps you build inner resources through growth of innate mindfulness skills, allowing you to manage and overcome their Covid-related suffering through your own efforts and active participation.

  • Instructional Video — explanation of concepts and guided exercise for one or more spheres of awareness.
  • Tool related to instruction — interactive worksheet or form.
  • Homework / implementation exercise — description of independent practice, with invitation to implement and share experience / progress with the community.
